I laughed when I found these, but here are some shots of my fathers race team back in 1980. I think I am 3 in the picture.

Used to love traveling and watching the races. This was a old track in K.C., I don't think it's there anymore.

I thought it was cool to come across these.

Thanks for sharing. That's a nostalgic looking Datsun B210 there. I like 510's with built motors.

I remember in '92 when I was at the street races in Long Beach, I saw a primered 510 lined up against a Z32 TT HKS staged up, and I thought to myself, "damn that little beater is gonna get spanked...."
The Z32 wheel hopped and couldn't hook up, the 510 was surprisingly fast! From this point on, I learned that old school cars i.e. 1st gen RX-cars and 510's could be deceptively fast. And this was when 13-sec was considered fast, 12-sec was considered super-car performance and 11's was trailer queen drag strip.

I wish we still had it. So many memories. Thanks for not flaming...lol

Incredibly cool stuff Fusz! I hope you don't mind, but I was bored at work and I did a quick re-touch on your images. If you want me to take these down, I'll do so immediately. It just reminded me of all the washed out old photos my parents have of my childhood and I couldn't resist. Hahahaha.

lol, a little bit of auto-colors and auto-contrast does wonders! Some of the guys at my work do incredible photoshopping, but that's what they get paid for. :D
