Anyone who dated a nurse with a busy schedule?
I've seen my friends date nurses, and one is getting engaged to one. I don't see them complain about their S/O. I do understand people in this field work long hours and look like zombies half the time.
Anyhow I met this girl who I've met on a few occasions, and she's recently single. We click pretty well, but I never thought much about it. Last week we hung out a couple of times, and we seem to have lots to talk about. Overall, I enjoy her company. Now I've only barely started to really get to know her for the past week, so I'm not going to rush into a relationship. What I've noticed is that she has told me about her busy schedule and that she's always on call. It mostly sounds legitimate. Then there's a couple of times over the weekend she would bail on the last minute. One night she ended up going to the movies with her coworker and friend after church. The next was that she needed to comfort a coworker who got in an argument with her husband. Today I cooked dinner, but after class she had a meeting followed by covering for someone's rotation till midnight. Getting to know her and finding time to see her is really testing my patience. In the past I would lose it and blow up on someone, but I try my best to not take it seriously and not care. So far so good with my temper the past several days!!! Overall she seems pretty cool, but at this point I sitll don't mind looking around for other opportunities. She says she can come over tomorrow for dinner. I've decided if she bails on this one, I'm going to quietly (non-verbally) cease contact and move on. Just seeing what you guys think...

If she's not at least contacting you as soon as she can afterwards to try to schedule something, then she doesn't really feel it.
Your first instinct (gut feeling) is usually never wrong. I think you're doing the right thing.

Oddly enough, she actually calls me, and she sounds like she has lots of energy and spunk when she chats with me. Other times she can't be reached, but she does text me eventually. It's possible she is quite busy (albeit, too busy).
Last month, I bumped into her. She asked me what I was doing that night, and I told her I had a party to attend. I asked her what she was doing, and she frowned and said "nothing." I was completely oblivious! So I saw her again one day, struck a convo, found out she's single, got her number... At this point, I don't mind her breaking the monotony of my day. After my last relationship, it's hard for to fall head over heels over anyone. Plus, I prefer to stay single until the inevitable happens. Quite a bit of people envy my single-ness. We'll see about tomorrow... I'm pretty much whatever and going with the flow. At this point in life I'm happy to avoid throwing a fit or waste my brain energy going emo over this stuff. It's just something to talk about haha.

If she is being legit with you and not messing with others, working all the time is going to make her libido be backed up, and any venting you allow will be jumped on... I call that a win/win.

I used to date a nurse. She was a total horndog! Plus she had that little white hat with the red cross on it.
I used to have her keep it on after work.... my advice? Do not be a gentleman too long. She wants to be admired and worshiped a bit, and the Docs play cold with her all day. She is tired of not being noticed.

Interesting. Aside from a crazy schedule, she tells me about this crazy expensive hobby (e.g., shoes and purses). She told me about this purse she saved up for... man that's the price of a supercharger! She can relate to my expensive hobby then lol.
Will take note...
