my box with HU arrived, but wife sent me pict of the outer carton and it appears it was dragged under the ups truck, used as a football, then as a bar stool, then as a step ladder, before arriving my house. i will need to check the contents to see if i need to return it for an exchange... LOL@ "dude, u on crack?" |

jason, how's the weather your way? snow melting today? I think a lot of ours will be gone this week, we are supposed to be getting warm days for the next few
I always get anxious in march and april as the weather gets nicer for the most part! Hopefully we don't see any more snow, but I doubt that will happen..........

it was a 4ft x 4ft sheet with about 50% wrinkled. i noted the vendor asking if they could at least give me like a 2ftx 4ft section, but they immediately sent me a full replacement. Quote:
say for instance a particular sample buffer setting has a latency of 8ms. changing the velocity parameter (example: soft keystroke to trigger larger sound output) does NOT help compensate the latency problem while playing. the sound still plays late.. just louder. |

Mr.kenchan... I hope the HU inside is ok.. it's sucks the way how the courier company treats the package but I was "wow" by the quick delivery, I thought you just ordered it yesterday, right? Usually the retailer will fill the whole big box with tons of foam and bubble wraps and stuffs like that, I am pretty sure the HU is in good shape... |

I went to the pedalbox website again and read more about the product... saw one of the chart they post and I have an idea on how does it work but I am not sure is it necessary for a street car.
( Click to show/hide )
Basically it's a module that allow the driver to adjust what's called... the "Throttle-Curve" It alters the values between the actual-throttle-position and the ECU-throttle-position. Therefore, when the gas pedal is 50% depress and ECU might thought it's at 60% or 70%. By reading its diagram, the adjustment is most effective through the mid-range. I am not sure how much it can improve/correct the problem that Mr.kenchan is experience since he is complaining the initial throttle-response. Which...the pedalbox has the minimum effect on that position. My opinion, this module is more suitable for track use since the driver can: 1) Adjust the throttle-response according to different track lay-out. 2) weather condition (dry/high traction surface more responsive vs wet/low traction less responsive) On top of that, I am wondering the adjustment will lose its "effectiveness", not from the device itself, but the driver itself will get used to responsiveness of the throttle. alcheng's conclusion: Save the $499.
