Yes, otherwise the adhesive can screw up the clear coat....

Just spoke to the guy. They can touch it up but of course there's no clear over the area to protect it. Otherwise I'm looking at having to pay to sand the area down again and fix it.

I really hate this car.

do you have nail polish? you can use enamel clearcoat once the base coat dries completely.

i'd find a local artist that has experience with air brush. he/she can touch up using plastic model paint for cheap.

have them touch it up and put on Ventureshield when it's the right time, it worth the money..

ms.pint - you can also buy automotive clearcoat touchup bottles at your local autoparts stores for pretty cheap.

if it's a large area you can get automotive grade clear from places like below in rattle cans, pens, jars, etc.
