I need some advice

So let's go back 2 years, I had a wreck and had limited money and I had to get back to work. SO with mist of my money in had I set off looking for a car. It was at the end of the day when I went to a bug used car dealership and drove a 2003 Honda civic ex coupe. I liked it all except for the auto trans. So with a day later I returned and bought the car for 8 grand. So here it is I have a about 5 more months of payments and it is mine. So I have been working on it the body kit from Honda has to be re-bough and installed, the paint has to be redone, and the audio system is almost done. "more info here about the build " http://www.caraudio.com/forum/showthread.php?t=406175 " So anyway my dept is almost done it will be all paid of like the cc and all will be done and paid off. So with a new job hopefully and no debt, I am thinking of getting a new car. Now I could get the civic si coupe, or the sedan, the civic si hatch, a used 350z, or a 370z. But the thing is should I after the work I put in the car and all?

Also my insurance will be lower at November anyway because the accidents come off.

well i think you will easily get biased opinions on a forum like this. me personally out of all the cars mentioned i'd easily pick a 370z.

honestly it comes down to what you think you want the most while considering the necessities you need to have. Do you need 4 doors? Married, kids? A 370z isn't going to make a great family car having pretty limited trunk space and only 2 seats. If you're 25, single or only GF, no kids, then yeah it works just fine. Are you trading in the Civic or going to keep it as well? Some people don't want to commute in their Zs because of all the miles they put on. Personally I have a '02 Civic coupe 4 seats and I'll keep it just to have for commuting and beating on.

bigaudiofanat 07-12-2009 08:00 PM

Well I would like to keep the civic but than again maybe not, I do plan to get married but am not in a relationship right now and I do want kids "one reason I also choose the sedan civic si. Who knows I may go with a 370 like I put in another thread. Also I am 21

If you think things like a family etc might come into play sooner rather than later, i'd spring for something with 4 doors personally. Otherwise get the fun car now, while you can, and worry about more space and doors when the family shows up :D

whats your five year outlook?
Do kids factor into it.
What about ten years?
If kids are not on the short list for about 8 years, the Z will be fine.

Almost forgot I just install a rebuilt auto trans in the civic about a month ago the factory did it. It was only 800 because they like me and all.

Honestly I say hold on to the car and save for a while. Though its a buyers market for cars, money is not as easy to come by as it use to be.

Keep the car and save. Just my :twocents:

The cars in question in the colors I would get.

Also was thinking of the acura RSX as well. Any comments would be considered helpful.

Also that first link has been fixed.

BanningZ 07-13-2009 05:40 AM

I'd buy a Celica over an RSX.

bigaudiofanat 07-13-2009 08:48 AM

Ya but I am just looking at the cars above. I mean Feb. is a way off and you never know what can happen in that time period. Right now I am thinking 370Z or 350Z but than again there is that fun Si LOL. More opinions if you please.

510z 07-13-2009 09:12 AM

if its paid off. drive it till the wheels fall off. when you can afford to buy a 35k dollar car with out trading in the civic and possibly have a down payment for a house saved up then get the Z. I drove and still own a 89 bmw 325i that i have had since i was 21. im now 26 with a bmw, 370z, house and a suzuki sv1000s and a dog. take your time. your young and a house should take priority.

bigaudiofanat 07-13-2009 10:15 AM

Well I have a car and a motorcycle right now lol. Ya house would be nice, but that is a few years away.

bigaudiofanat 07-14-2009 01:24 PM

So I have decided what to do, if and when everything is paid off and I have a good job and all which should be by Feb, I will get a 370z if I can afford it if I can not than the 350z. I will probably keep my Honda because it will be paid off by than. I just look outside in the drive and see 4 Hondas I think I need a change and a Z is the way to go.
