I've heard of some people doing an AT fluid flush @ 50k. I'm thinking if I ever went boosted, I'd have to build the tranny anyways to keep up, so that would mandate a fluid change anyways.

just take a look at your coolant reservoir. chances are you have the BLUE coolant. if GREEN you can immediately tell it's green.

not sure about your AT change interval.

I'll have to take a peek in there tomorrow before I go to class then. See which one it is..

As for the AT, it says it's a sealed system that the fluid "never" needs to be changed. But come on... We know better then that...

I believe all 370z have the blue coolant. I would use that over the green because it's what came with the car and is longer lasting

well, my G's maintenance manual never mentions changing the MT fluid either on the light maintenance schedule ive been following the last 9yrs.

if lowered yes. honestly those are too aggressive for the Z (front).

mine are 19x9 ET38 for the front running a 5mm spacer (ET33). rears are 19x10.5 ET15.

That it is. That's why I'm

with them. The fronts are a little tucked, but not worth a 5mm spacer. The rears are user dependent as if they need a spacer as well. If anything, just a 5mm again.

I'd love to get a set of their TC105N's for track wheels.

I believe you are confused. The AT is a sealed system, and the transmission fluid is lifetime and never needs to be serviced. The manual transmission does require replacement (and is really easy btw

). The Engine Coolant is completely different, and I still don't see why the change interval would change based on the type of transmission...

yah, the 19x9.5 ET15 will look like a tank up front. dont do it.

like i mentioned earlier, you want to be in the ET32-35 (9" width) range if you're not lowered for the front.

if going 9.5" width like my nismo's, ET38-41.

Ken, even the Z maintenance schedule never explicitly says to replace the MT fluid. It only says inspect every 15K miles. If I hadn't switched to Redline synthetic, I would have probably done this at 60K miles just for good measure.

I know Manual trans. requires fluid changes?

And I know engine coolant has nothing to do with trannys.

I was stating a completely different idea from the coolant, about the AT itself that a fluid that Never needs changing... come on, that can't be serious...
