I just looked over the exploded diagram (attached in an earlier post of mine) and there doesn't appear to be anything special required.

Do some research.... and don't fall into their trick...

Then what were you talking about??

Not much, another day. Woke up with a slightly sore throat since I guess I was laying completely flat and had some sinus drainage. Rockin some gatorade right now. I need to go out and dig around in my hatch to fix a rattle, but it's just too damned cold outside.

How are you doin?

Are we talking the Engine coolant?? Where you just pull off the lower silicone hose, drain, reattach, refill?

thanks, mr.jar! yah, air release valve is correct, i wasnt expecting it on the radiator side. cool. should be easy to do then.

and yah, shouldn't need any special tools to do the coolant drain/fill. after draining, i usually fill until coolant comes out of the air release valve, close that, then fill the reserve to max. cap the radiator. start engine, run it at 3K RPM for 10seconds at a time for 3 cycles keeping an eye on the water temp.

then add more to the reserve as needed. check work after a nice drive.

I literally would have if they would have told me that.

I would have said fine, have your tech do it, but if he does exactly that, my flush is FREE? And when they say ummm no, Walk out. thanks guys!

Yeah, it is super easy to see and access, though my intake heat shield seems to be every so slightly in the way.

Awesome That's about what I figured after minimal research

So how often should a coolant flush be done? (7AT) @ 43k right now.

I'm alive, can't complain. Would rather be out instead of working though. Talking to a guy about some Wedsport 19s but I don't think we will be able to reach a deal.

My understanding is the Nissan Long Life BLUE Coolant should be changed at 105K miles or 7 years. It looks like the Nissan GREEN Coolant is good for 60K miles and 3-4 years (Ken, correct me if I'm wrong). And that seems to be a clear reason Nissan does not recommend mixing the two.

I don't imagine transmission matters, or at least I didn't see anything about it in the manual. I'll probably do mine sometime after I hit 60K miles or so. That way if I procrastinate, it's not a big deal

Which one do we have, the Blue then? Is there any +/- to using one over the other? I won't say the Performance word because thats silly lol

I've heard of some people doing an AT fluid flush @ 50k. I'm thinking if I ever went boosted, I'd have to build the tranny anyways to keep up, so that would mandate a fluid change anyways.

The SA-55M in Black/Blue. Only problem is that sizes are 19x9.5 and 19x10.5. Not sure if Mr. Kenchan would approve.
