How does one get rid of a house guest that keeps leaving the front door unlocked, hasn't paid anything to stay here and hasn't even offered to help clean anything?

Well, I'm pretty sure you can't kick him out on Christmas. I would just start punching him/her tomorrow morning - it is Boxing Day after all

Lucky! I wore shorts and short sleeves all of yesterday and most of today when I put a jacket on after the front came through.
