The cost vs performance is outrageous. An $800 built machine costs $1500 from Dell or HP. I'm not paying $200 upgrade for a $80 SSD or $300 for a $150 video card

Plus the power supplies are typically garbage. I must be a bit of a masochist cause I enjoy working on my own machines despite the problems. I haven't bought new gear in 2+ years other than the RAM and video card upgrade recently, so it's not like I'm having problems with brand new stuff. Here, have some perspective, James

gorgeous weather here, I wish I could play some golf this afternoon. But someone decided they needed to drop off plans on their way home today, so I'm stuck in the office until then

My wife just got done with BEC CPA exam this morning, so we'll have a celebratory drink tonight. My sister's birthday is today and mine is next Tuesday (5th), so we're getting together for dinner somewhere nice on Saturday night. Then Sunday is the Super Bowl!
