I'm kidding.

I have done network cable installations, terminations, verifications, installing switches, racks, etc. I don't have a clue what to do with the computer/software set up side of things.

I don't usually go for the whole one up move, but I think this one belongs to me:

Performed a wireless expansion last night at work to allow us to add more wireless access points. This went swimmingly. Four hours later @ 11pm I was contacted by one of the techs that stuff was not working properly on the wireless network. Things went from bad to worse as more and more people called him. Troubleshooting continued until 4am when we got the server admin involved and rebooted the dhcp server.

Then, bright and early this morning I was told that one of the network segments on the wireless network was not functioning properly....soooo I've spent the last three hours troubleshooting. All this AND I'm supposed to come back in to work from 1a - 5a for downtime updates on the network. FML. :shakes head:

:( **hugs**

cheapskates only gave us up to $1000 credit... I'd rather not worry about them nitpicking the car when I return it. The car is only 6 months old, so if this happens every 6 months, we'll easily go over :ugh2:

Don't worry, anniversary only happens once a year... :icon17:

:hello:

Man, chasing down details with contractors is almost as bad as doing all the work myself, except it costs more money. :shakes head:

Nah, it's not all bad. I guess smashing up a cast-iron tub with a sledgehammer is a little more difficult than ordering a vanity top shipped to Lowe's or something, but I'm trying to keep everything moving so I can have a bathroom again. :ugh2:

kenchan 01-22-2013 12:29 PM

hi, mr.alcheng- im doing great, thanks for asking! how's the business and gaming going? :D

They should, due to the constant just above/below freezing fluctuation for a lot of the Midwest winter we tend to get plenty of ice/freezing rain.

I'm supposed to at least have a tub/temp shower thing rigged up tonight, but I'm going to shower here before I leave (work has a gym and showers.)

I feel kind of gross today... I mean, not like 3rd world caked with feces and flies but you know what I mean, I've got that "not so fresh" feeling. :ugh2: :roflpuke2:
