When I was in the audio business, we sold the first set of ultra highend Kef stereo speakers. Our store owner flew with our customer to sample speakers at CES and settled on the custom made $50,000 Kef speakers. They are built start to finish by one craftsman, all the wood grain matches when you stack the set. Absolutely gorgeous but $50,000 for a stereo pair of speakers... :icon14:

I'm not sure I would ever buy anything from Klipsch that cost that much. My buddy has a set of electrostats from Martin Logan paired with Krull components that sound absolutely unbelievable not to mention deafening. I mean, this is the center channel speaker  MartinLogan | Stage

Martin Logan's are nice. Electrostatic speakers tend to be on the bright side of the spectrum (it's their nature). The customer that bought the $50,000 Kef's didn't like his $30,000 Logan's :icon14: His system was for stereo listening only and was worth more than his house.

It's situations like these that makes me glad that I'm not an audiophile. If it works, and is crisp and tight...I'm happy. :)

That's why he paired them with this subwoofer with 3x 10" drivers

Also the front speakers each have a built-in 15" powered driver in their base. It's just crazy to me, but hey, I get to enjoy it so who I am to say anything

I agree, I'm all about the budget. But I at least have to build my system myself. No all-in-one packaged systems for me. Really happy with my Sony receiver and Polk front speakers and center channel (though cheap Sony sub sucks my left nut).
