for this, i usually set the cans outside in the sun to keep them pretty warm (not hot to the touch as it can explode ), set the wheels upright, then spray one coat on one wheel, grab a fresh can for the next wheel, and so on. best to do on a warm 70F - 80F windless day. the trick that i found is before the last coat, use a very fine sand paper (borderline paper towel might do) and rid all bumpy dust on the paint. then, last coat needs to be a fairly wet coat. light coat ends up dusty and bumpy to the touch. you dont want that. after fully dry, 2 wet coats of clear. other things to get is a mask and tack towel. |
