I feel better helmet is back in it's double bag and carrying case.

Sorry to say but you have a new helmet for riding on a motorcycle but not for SCCA Solocross racing. Rated helmets don't come cheap. You will spend about $350 for a new one. If you buy a used one it must be SA2005 or SA2010 rated.
