We had a great time out with my best buddy and his wife! Dinner and a comedy show! I basically sort of reproduced my 21st birthday in which I turned 21 at a comedy show, and my first legal drink was a Long Island. My first drink tonight at the show was a Long Island, but at least I didn't have to wait 'til midnight to getting! :rofl2:

I let my buddy drive the Z today to coffee and not being used to the width (he drives a boxter) he totally curbed my back right rim. Grrrrrrr

He my best buddy so I'm not too pissed, but lemmie ask has anybody done a rim refurb job????

Is it worth 1-200 bucks to grind/ polish it out or should I just pony up for some good shape used rays 19s. (That's what I run)

The question is after they rub out the curb rash will the wheels look "good as new???"

Maybe I'll just get some of those cool darker metallic colored 40th anny rims and call it an "upgrade"

Opinions???

Yes, it's worth it. I've had numerous experiences with this situation. There are mobile outfits that will come to you and have you all fixed up in an hour or so. You won't even notice the difference once its done.

I think Mr.happytheman has experience on the OEM wheels, and it's not a big deal to get it fixed.

Hope he sees your post and can response.

Yup, response is above! Well worth the effort.

Thanks guys. I'll give it a go.

p.s. my bud feels bad and offered to pony up some $$$ to help grt em looking good again. I bought the car used with some curb rash all over, maybe this little event will get me looking better than "new"
