One way to narrow it down is to figure out what you want to learn how to do that day, and watch a tut on that subject.

This is a great person to learn from: Photoshop Training Videos « Julieanne Kost's Blog
Or you can just check out the tutorials that are available on Adobe's website or even the help files in Photoshop.

I was scanning through those, but again they're geared towards those that Know what they're doing. (The help files) and without knowing the Correct terminology for what it is I wanna do, I don't know which one's to use... :icon17:

I would learn best from if there was someone I could take notes from Showing me how to do things, then practice it myself.

For instance, what I want to do with my sigi \/ \/ Is I need to change some of the text for the new parts I've added/removed. And also change the wheels because those are no longer the wheels I wanted or have. And get my wing on there.

But I'm guessing the easier thing would be to setup a shoot and take a pic of My car from that angle so I can crop it from the image and just paste it in the sigi pic, right?? :ugh2:

this is truly incredible......

Unless you can get the original .psd file with all the layers, it sounds like you should just make a whole new sig from scratch.

That's what I was afraid of... On the PSD file I do have, it has the:

Background
"Z" logo
Same Car
"Abby"
"XwChriswX"

But none of the Brand text on the bottom, which I guess is good considering that would be the easiest to add... if I knew what I were doing. :icon17:

Piece of cake.
Get rid of the layer with the old pic of your car. Add in a current pic of your car as a new layer.
Add the text for your mods.
Save.

:icon17: Sounds easy to the trained maestro.

It will just take a week or two of tinkering with it to do those "simple" things... Lot's of trial--deleted down the road.

Is there a way I can take a jpg file, and convert it into a PSD? So I could use my current sig as the base?

Have you tried opening the jpg file with photoshop then save in psd format using "save as"…??

If you did that, you wouldn't have layers to work with.

Luna, is there like a tutorial somewhere built into PS that helps those who aren't PS gifted? I don't mean the 101 youtube videos, I mean something that comes from the basic level of congrats, you've installed it, here's how you use it?

I have CS4, but am not savvy on 99.99% of it, and there was no "how to" manual in it. I guess Adobe assumes if you're buying it, you know what you're doing already... :ugh2:

honestly there are tutorials online, but noting built into PS, at least not that I have found.
