Okay, okay....after the overwhelming landslide of requests (the beautiful and charming ms. pint and my good buddy from the Sunshine State mr. happy), here are some pictures comparing the badges with the original, cheesy faux carbon fiber cardboard backing plates and my gun metallic replacements.

The second picture is a side-by-side comparison of the two backings on my hood. Note that the gun metallic piece hasn't been buffed-out so it looks a little dull. Since I am going to put a piece of clear bra over it, there is no need to buff it. Also, what little of it actually shows through the badge, it's not noticeable any way. I do have to wait a few weeks to let the paint "gas out" before applying the clear film.

Once the clear is applied, I'll peel off the hamburgers and install the new badges. I'll also remove the 370 Z logo off the back too.

Once it's all done, I'll shoot some pictures.

Super, super easy project.
