goodam everyone!
personally i use griot's clay and it's super soft. need disposable gloves to handle but it's super safe on nissan paint. for off-the-shelf, mother's makes a nice kit. i remember their clay is on the firmer side unless you warm it up in your hands before use, but does not mean it's coarse. the meguair's soft...stay away from it. it's initially soft, but after a few min of use it turns coarse for some reason. i had to re-polish afterwards as it left light scratches on my Z's paint as if i wetsanded it. Too much sidewayz was the problem. As I was coming out of the curve, I punched it a bit too hard trying to catch a gap in traffic and wound up about 60 degrees out with my rear bumper probably about a foot from the concrete barricade - not fun. Luckily, I didn't look like a complete idiot, as I straightened out and regained traction in a quick, controlled maneuver.

I'm heading to Discount Tire now to see if I can't get them to order what I need - though I still haven't decided.

I still have some of the meguiars clay and haven't seen any evidence of scratching or other damage. It definitely becomes coarse when it's dirty, but I'll have to try another brand to see if there's a noticeable difference.

Really I havent had that happen when i used meguairs. Maybe I got lucky. I might try mothers next year. I want a nice mixer too kenchan. Sometimes doing everything on the pc is tough and manual controls would be welcomed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I747 using Tapatalk 2
