It's workmanship, whoever did the paint job was rushing it therefore the coating starts cracking after one year.

It will be difficult for you to trace down which shop/dealer did the paint job thus difficult to file a warranty claim.

But you will have to get it fix aka repaint the whole hood otherwise the paint gonna crack through the clear coat and rust getting onto the aluminum hood then you'll be in big trouble.

Doesn't rust, like steel with that red/brown rust but it will oxidize and deteriorate the material if it is not taken care of and contaminates get through to the aluminum
