^^^ Waste of money.

Most of the cameras now have polarized lenses. They'll see right through that. As a bi-product of having polarized lenses, they can also see the driver a LOT better too.

zZSportZz 06-29-2009 09:16 AM

^ for a second there I thought it actually was an energy drink...

armensti 06-29-2009 07:01 PM

so has anyone ACTUALLY tried it? or is it just opinions?

Crash 06-29-2009 07:10 PM

It's no opinion. The stuff won't work with polarized lenses. That's science.

g96818 06-29-2009 09:53 PM

that **** used to work, try looking for something else to coat/cover your license plates with

Crash 06-30-2009 02:38 AM

^^^ Correct. It did until it became popular. This wasn't the only one. There were a bunch of clear plate covers with this coating and similar that people were using back in 02-03 and it just caught on. This product may work in some less-technology-happy non-metropolitan areas, but expect that all the cameras in the medium to larger cities are already upgraded.

armensti 07-02-2009 05:03 AM

cameras are not my main concern tho. i heard that this thing gives u some extra time when you get hit with the laser gun. is that true?

Crash 07-02-2009 10:12 AM

No.

Laser's don't work based specifically on reflection. Think about how nearly impossible that would be for a cop to point a laser at a surface that's flat at the right angle to bounce back a reflection to the gun.

Lasers send out a pulse which the gun picks up the time it takes for the pulse to go from gun to car. Then measures the amount of time for each pulse to make it to the target to figure out how much further or closer the target is getting to figure out its speed. (That's why a laser can't be used from a moving vehicle and must be at a dead stop to be accurate or even work at all.)

The laser can bounce off any object. Brick, glass, license, etc. so the only way to trick or block a laser is by sending it back mixed signals; which is precisely what the laser jammers do. No spray or cover is going to help you unless you can fully cloak yourself. LOL
