Thanks! This is my 2nd AR, I regretted selling the first one immediately after selling it. I haven't had a chance to shoot this one yet, I've been under the weather all week which has sucked. Can't wait to get this one on the range to sight it in, hopefully next weekend!

^Nice vid! My buddy has an Armalite .50 - I've shot it and man that thing is fun. If I remember right he said the rounds are about $4-$5 each. Crazy!

Yea sometime in the future. But I need to find some decent price ones. I don't think I want pay an arm and a leg to get any optics. I already spent tons of money on my AR. I really like the acog optics but I can't drop that kind of money.

True, if you buy factory, most of the ammo I get is military surplus that I find at gun shows, got a few ammo cans for $50 apiece, easily over 100 rounds, not bad!

buutttt....I just ordered one of these dealer also threw in magpul font/rear flip up sights with $20 off of them. She will be sent from their distributor, then held in their kennel on layaway for three months or sooner if I pay her off. Now, what optic should I get ????

Anybody have a Springfield XD/M? I have a couple of S&W M&Ps and I'm thinking about an XD in 9mm.

I got one, I'd say they are about the same as the M&P, changing the backstrap is PITA and I do like the M&P ambi slide release. I don't know what all comes with the M&P but SA packages the xdm well: 2mags, mad loader, lock, dual mag holder and paddle holster. They are priced around the $600 I believe. I say try to rent one for a day and see how it compares to your current handguns. I'm not the best shot, but I do wish I had more time on some gun I rented so I could give an honest comparo. Any other Q's?

Cool thanks, I love my M&Ps. I have a full size and a compact. The compact has a crimson trace laser on it. The only thing that makes me nervous is the lack of any safety. When carrying concealed I'd prefer to carry chambered, but I worry about something snagging when it's tucked IWB and blasting a hole in my hip. The Springfield and some others they have trigger and grip safeties which is appealing. Thoughts?

I dont have a CHL, but I the grip safety is fine IMO if carrying. Some people think that it is unnecessary addon, but its not like it will interfere with anything if you grip your gun right. You grip it, it goes bang. I does add that extra sense of security if carrying they also included I believe a block for the striking pin just incase you accidently drop it. I've also added an after market trigger kit, and all the safetys work properly. As far as the trigger safety goes, as long as it's not depressed it wont let the trigger move.
