Easier/faster cleaning after the Frog Lube has completely soaked in.
The best part it is bio-based.
No harsh/toxic chemicals!

Any way.

I ordered a tavor. But since I live in Kali I have to wait a few days, add a bullet button and a muzzle extension(overall length or OAL) needs to b 30"😢😤.
Until I move out I have to deal

How do u like ur acr? From doing a little research it seems Remington makes the military or LE version of the acr that the civilians can't own. Which sucks cause the the Remington version looks better. Even though it doesn't have the foldable stock.
I wished I could change the ejection port on the left side. Just like the scar.

FYI Mudders milk is delish

Even with the ridiculous mods needed for it to be legal in Cali, I would take a Tavor over an AR-15 or similar rifle any day. The balance and ergos of the Tavor are superior IMO. The last time I had mine at the range I was able to shoot it one handed and be, as some people say, "combat effective" very easily.

Once you get yours I highly recommend removing the secondary sear reset spring (fully reversible) like shown in this video.

After removing the secondary sear reset I feel no need to get an aftermarket trigger.

The Remington has been constantly improving the Remington ACR, just not the Bushmaster ACR (BACR). The non-folding stocking version you saw was most likely the version of the Remington ACR that was submitted for the Individual Carbine Program a few years ago.

I like my BACR but I have lost faith with Bushmaster/Remington with regards to the BACR . So many broken promises with regard to caliber conversions and the availability of different spec barrels. The 6.8 conversion kits do exists but are consider unicorns. All the barrels I've seen have been custom one-offs. The BACR is a good rifle. I would take an BACR over a SCAR 16S. Now the SCAR 17S is another story.

The SCAR can not be converted to left side eject. Now you can swap the side of the charging handle. Same with the ACR.

like I personally don't like how the gun laws are in the states.

I still want to go to a shooting range. living in belgium = never holding a gun ever.

I am in texas now though so I should bug the wife to take me to a shooting range.

I was thinking of getting the geiselle trigger group for the tavor when it comes put but at $350 its kind of pricey.
I'll definitely take out the secondary spring.

Its to bad we can't buy the Remington acr version cause personally its better than the bushmaster acr.
I don't get why they don't follow the Remington's version.
I think the acr is better than the scar. From what I read the acr is a bit heavier than the scar

I wouldn't waste the money on an aftermarket trigger. Now if you are going scope your Tavor and try to maximize your Tavor's accuracy then I would consider an aftermarket trigger. For home/personal defense the stock trigger with the secondary sear spring removed is just fine. Just my

I agree. Remington/Bushmaster dropped the ball big time with ACR. If they had made the Bushmaster ACR exactly like the Remington ACR but only in semi-auto and had delivered on the quick swapping multi-cal promise, the ACR would have blown the SCAR 16S out of the water.

For grins I photoshopped what a pin and welded Tavor with an AAC Brakeout would look like.

Well, I picked up an HK VP9. I don't anticipate that it will add much of an improvement over the PPQ that I've been shooting for a couple of years but I've never owned an HK before and I'm curious to see how it shoots by comparison the the excellent PPQ. Here's what I know so far:
  • ergonomics feel very similar to the PPQ. I have more than 6000 rounds through my PPQ and holding one then the other with my eyes closed, I can't really feel much difference. Both feel great. My hands are a little on the small side, I'll have to try the smaller grip panels on the VP9. With the PPQ, the smaller backstrap feels better, but I shoot the PPQ noticeably better with the medium backstrap.
  • trigger pull - average of 10 pulls...5 lbs 6 oz for the PPQ, 6 lbs 4 oz for the VP9 (Lyman electronic trigger gauge). The PPQ has a lot of rounds through it, the VP9 has none.
  • dry firing...nice crisp break on both. Both are excellent. Take up feels a little longer on the the PPQ (for me, takeup is irrelevant). Can't tell anything about reset without shooting both side by side.
  • size is approximately the same. VP9 is a hair longer in the grip. I can't really tell the difference carrying one vs the other OWB in a leather belt scabbard.
  • weight (with magazine, unloaded)...PPQ 1 lb 9.2 oz, VP9 1 lb 10.6 oz
  • VP9 fits fine in an old Tagua HK45 leather holster I had sitting around. I'll make a kydex holster for it this weekend.
  • quality of construction, fit/finish...both are excellent. I'd call them equal
  • so far, I like the charging ears on the VP9. Nice touch, especially for those of us who rack the slide rather than use the slide release
  • slide release placement is nice on both. I have no difficulty with either, although I typically don't use it.
