That's what I did then I put in the trunk of a car that I have that sits out side 24/7. I ended up changing out the wrap 3 times think before getting almost all of it out of the wood. Btw put a but pad on the gun because it will sweat out more when you go to the range the first few time from the heat against your shoulder.
