First things first, congrats. I believe that, even though that is the "compact", its not double-stack, right?

I have the 4.5" XDm .45, and I'm very pleased with it. That said, in the MAZOC firearms thread, some have been complaining about their SA pistols as of late (they just did a big recall on the XDs .45/9mm line).

IMHO, they are an incredible bang for the buck (no pun intended), and generally get very favorable reviews.

I know Jon pushes ammoseek.com for ammo, and you can also use slickguns.com for good deals on ammo/mags.
