Just bought a colt ar with the removable handle. Want to use something other than the factory sights. Can someone recommend a sight for plinking that wont break the bank. I would also like to mount a light somewhere for home defense. Can someone recommend a picatiny style handguard to replace the stocker. Sorry for the basic questions, this is my first rifle.

Look at the Vortex line of red dots. They are likely not going to hold up to heavy abuse but should be fine for plinking and probably adequate for HD if you keep them sighted in.

Where would the military be without civilian sportsmen behind the lathe?

Has red rainbow on right corner when you first get it. It needs to be mounted and zeroed properly. Once zeroed its perfect. You cant beat its accuracy and durability for the price. |
