I don't know if it's some sort of corrosion that's building up or something else. Has anyone else seen something like this before on other AR's or another POF? Should I be worried?

My first upper

It's hard to tell from the pics, but it looks like it may be left over 'bluing' salts. I usually use a brush (nylon not a metal one) and cleaning solvent to get it off, then I usually go over the metal parts with Clenzoil. If it is, and you don't clean it off, it could corrode your parts. Most of the time when I get new parts, especially for the AR, I clean them really well before I put them on. But again, if you are unsure, take it to your local Firearms shop or give POF a call.
