having problems with my gun

i shot 800 rounds of FMJ through it with probably < 5 Failure to Eject.
yesterday i tried some Federal JHPs and didnt even get through a box of 50.
The slide jams up and I cant even rack it

as you can see in this pic the slide lock isnt engaged but the slide is stuck'

called customer service and they gave me a fedex overnight shipping label for it...and since it's going to be back at springfield i figured i'll do some mods too.
-checker front strap
-front strap undercut
-new target sights with tritium
-3 lb trigger pull
