Went to the opening day of the Nation's Gun Show today. Lots of cool stuff. I picked up two of the 31 round magazines and two 10 round mags for my G26. They are all factory glock magazines. The big ones should be a lot of fun on the range. Also picked up some 9mm NATO to try and some 7mm Mauser.
They had some nice stuff there... really wanted to buy another pistol, and the ARs are very tempting.

Well, custom 357SIG P226 Elite ST (all stainless) project is complete...
-P226 Elite ST in 357SIG -Trigger work by GGI in Spray, OR -QP/QPQ (similar to Glock's) finish/metal treatment, hence the "black" color on stainless -Stainless QPQ guiderod -Titanium safety block -Aluminum hammer strut support -Hogue G10 grips -Meprolite sights pulled, Trijicon's installed. I have a preference. -SIG Combat takedown lever installed (much tougher. I could tell you the steel used, but it is proprietary info. Nothing "special", but it's tough as shat and they requested I keep to myself). -Touched by Torie (no-longer with GGI) Benelli M4S90 "922r legal" project is complete... -Benelli M4S90 -Surefire M80 rail -Leupold QRW 1" ring for flashlight -Surefire 6P done in IIIA and with a McClicky switch with a 550 lumen XM-L 4k tint custom-made drop-in. -Geissele hammer -Ti magazine tube -Custom follower and spring -Collapsible OEM stock -True 1913 spec rail without center relief, custom -Tango-Down stubby -Ti/A2 steel hybrid bolt-handle I have long had my uber-reliable Glock 19 with factory Trijicons, nothing special there. It's time for a sickhouse M4gery project. Stay tuned for WINNING! (Noveske/Trijicon/Other goodies planned) Over-all, I have a philosophy on firearms: Buy once, cry once. Buy the best--FOR YOUR GOALS AND INTENDED USAGE. If you can't buy it, make it or find someone who can (custom rail and bolt-handle on M4S90). If it won't run, fix it, and get a failure analysis/understanding of WHY. Wilson Combat could not satisfy my requirements for neither workmanship, nor function. I used to own a Wilson Combat Tactical Supergrade 5" 1911, and a Les Baer hard chrome TRS. Neither was reliable, nor could a failure analysis/fix be enacted, and both showed shoddy craftsmanship. They both left my stable, and 1911's are something I wish only on my enemies. Last edited by ImportConvert; 08-02-2011 at 02:25 AM. |
