They've been utterly reliable for me and ship pretty quick.
And, I apologize, they're located in South Carolina, not Florida. Rumor has it that the worldwide cost of copper and other metals (lead) will soon result in increasing ammo prices. I've been stocking up. Already seeing severe shortages of some types of quality complete rifles, components, and accessories, especially those that are more tactically oriented. Shortages are similar to the way it was right after Obama got elected. Last edited by MacCool; 07-02-2011 at 10:09 AM. |

I note that, as expected, the best prices are Brown Bear and Wolf. Never had good luck with that steel-cased stuff. Pretty consistent failures-to-extract. The steel cases are coated, but that stuff gets gummy. Hard to clean and ultimately causes failures. The Pakistani stuff is nasty. We had a ****-load of that POF stuff for disposal - returns from Sportmans Guide. It's mostly sub-gun ammo, so generally +P+, and it tends to have pretty hard primers since it is usually designed to be fired from an open bolt. |

That's a helpful site. I need to find cheap 12ga slugs and buckshot since that's the only approved shotgun ammo at my local indoor range. Remington slugs and buckshot usually work out to close to $1 a round at Walmart.

Made it out to the range today for the first time in a couple months. Put 260 rounds down range out of my G26. Should be back in the next couple days or so to shake down my 870. w00t.

In older post of other gun forums i've seen the arsenal ak47 on sale for almost half the price $499. What are the chances of that happening again this year?

A few updates to the 870:
Knoxx Spec-Ops stock with cheek piece and stock saddle, plus the Remington saddle rail. Just need a reflex sight and it will be finished.

Nice shot gun. I really like the 870's. Mossberg makes a nice shotgun too.
Someone mentioned ammo prices going sky high because of the commodity prices of copper and lead rising. One option is to reload. Once you get the reloading equipment it feels like the components are much cheaper. If anything, you can wait for sales and buy a little at a time. Plus you get to tailor make the ammunition to your firearm. I have found with rifles I can surpass reasonably priced factory loads, with my reloads as far as accuracy goes. and for less money.
