i will be trading my LWRC or Going Consignment to the dealer i bought it from. They are ordering the new 223/556 8" SBR/Supressor. This was my original choice but didnt want to wait 3-6 months. Well now my wife is right, and she told to wait for what i really wanted. Honestly i should have kept my cash from the kimbers and LWRC and add $1500 i would have bought the FULL-Auto SBR 10" Colt from the gunshop i bought all these guns from. Its just so hard to find those full auto reasonably price.

If you want to get into full-auto ARs, IMHO buy a DIAS and drop it into whatever host you want. DIAS can be repaired after most accidents anyways, by a competent metal worker. They're cheaper than Registered Receivers too.

It's a solid gun for sure, one of the top few vendors of reliable AR-15s, and a good purchase.

This is the main caveat with Colt: I'm not up on the latest, but there have been issues about compatibility between semi-auto Colts and parts from other mfgs. Basically, normal full-auto M-4s and M16-s, and just about every aftermarket AR-15, all use the same interchangeable parts and specs. Colt changed some pin sizes on their semi-autos for the non-military market in an effort to make them incompatible with full-auto parts.

At one point in the past, what they did was make the front takedown pin (the front of the two large pins you pull to separate upper + lower receivers) larger (to prevent mix&match between full/semi Colt uppers and lowers). Then they also at some later point made the fire control group pin larger as well, so that you can't drop a select-fire trigger group and/or DIAS into them easily. I *think* with current new production, they now use normal-sized takedown pins, but still oversized FCG pins.

Aside from making full auto parts a pain (e.g. if you bought a Registered DIAS or Lightning Link or similar kit that worked for select-fire), these changes also can cause problems if you try to mix colt + non-colt semi-auto parts (upper<->lower received mating in the case of the takedown pin, lower receiver internals in the case of the FCG pin).

If you plan to leave it all-Colt and all-semi, it should be a non-issue.

Wow, thanks for the heads up. I did eventually want to convert it to full auto... Well, any suggestions on a model just as good and roughly the same price (I wont complain if its cheaper)

Man, that's a huge question, and full of lots of things people differ in opinion on. Your absolute best source on the net for this kind of info is the forums on AR15.Com. There are many quality manufacturers of whole AR-15s or parts to custom-build your own. I'll toss out one mfg I think is really top notch but not as widely touted as some of the better-known brands:
