I remember the first time I looked through a pair of Zeiss binoculars and spotting scopes. I was blown away!

That 3 screw BlackHawk was a nice find. Definitely something to hold onto and not mess with. When I was looking for a BlackHawk I read up on all that. I probably buy another SA revolver at some point. Most likely another Ruger Bisley. I really like how the Ruger Bisley grip feels and looks.

Good glass ain't cheap. BUT, I will say this, the budget options are getting a lot better. Especially in the past few years.

Before I bought my Bisley I went to a couple of gun shows and tried the grips of every single action I could find. The Ruger Bisley definitely felt bigger and my pinky finger didn't feel like it was falling of the end of the grip.

I guess we were both wrong. GunBlast has a whole article devoted to Ruger SA revolver frames/grips. GunBlast.com Ruger SA GripFrames Ruger's XR3 grip frame is the same size as the Colt SAA.

Been messing around with the new rifle. The Timney trigger, hand grip, and magazine release extension came in today. So I installed that stuff. The trigger is a 2 stage. The 1st stage is set at 8oz, the 2nd stage breaks at 1lb. When you squeeze the trigger, it's like breaking a glass rod. Nice and crisp.
Waiting on the scope rings, reloading dies, and the solvent trap can.

I’ve been considering a Timney for a while. Just can’t decide if I like a two stage or not. |

I just ordered a CMT trigger to try. Single stage. BF deal. For my AR build.
In other news, my Uncle on my wife's side has an unfired Ruger SR1911 For sale. $600. Seems fair , but i have never owned or fired a Ruger 1911. Anyone here have one?
