Depends on the caliber and weight of the bullet. 1/7 will also wear a bit faster.

On a 22cal. The 1/7 likes a heaviest bullets. 75 to 90grs. The 1/8 likes bullets from 62 to 75grs. Don't ask either one to shoot 40gr varmint bullets. The rate of twist is too fast. It will strip the jackets off the bullets as I found out.

One of the great things about the 92fs line is if ya run out of ammo you can always beat someone to death with it.

I had a issue with a reload not firing and the other day the oddest thing! Bolt wouldnt close all the way, opened it up and found 2 small peices of steel that looked like gun parts after the gun didn't fire. I CANNOT find where they came from.

Does your silver part around the bolt not close all the way sometimes? If my barrel is dirty where the case sits in it, you can't just relax the slide closed, you have to force it like from a round being chambered or hitting the bolt release. I only notice it when I pull the charging handle back to see if a rounds still inside.

I had powder burns and my right hand was numb for 2 days. I don't know what really happened I squeezed the trigger weapon didn't feel right when it blew, my magazine feel out is the real reason why I noticed. The people I purchased from sent the pistol to their parent company and they sent to Springfeild. I tried to figure out what was replaced but couldn't get any info. The ammo people gave me additional ammo but I didn't trust it anymore so I sold it to some female.

Building my first AR rifle, had this laying around so why not??

Magpul CTR stock.

Main reason though is current rifle only has a 10" barrel. Dead on at 100 yards but the bullets are so slow! Even with green tip it barely touches 1/8" AR500 steel. I'm looking for 18" in the end with a scope to reach out to 200 yards.

So far I've ordered the Palmetto mil-spec trigger. Yes I know a $30 cheap mil-spec but whatever if it goes boom and shoots to 200 yards. Then the Magpul enhanced tigger guard for $19. Tapco mil-spec 6 position buffer tube, spring, buffer, castle nut and end plate with harness slot for $43. Magpul MOE handle $15. And last CMMG lower install kit for $35.

Now I need to find a FFL dealer to send the CMMG lower to for $103.

So $245 total the way I want it (can't remember what I paid for the CTR stock). The CMMG lower comes built for $254 but I didn't want the handle or stock so I'm looking forward to doing it myself.

Curious what others think, but my impression as a new AR15 owner is that we really don't need a scope out to 200 yards. Iron sight does just fine.

Depends on one's eyes. I used to use the iron sights on my AR-15 but, since my eyes have gotten worse, I now use a scope.

I don't even use my red dot ecotec to 100, I flip my x3 scope over. I have great eye sight, I just like to see as close up as possible.

Ok impulse buy maybe. Last night I looked up the cost of uppers, lowers, barrels etc etc before going to a gun show today. I pretty much decided on a Spikes Tactical lower and the wife loved the Honey Badger online! Well what do you know we found it and cheaper than online from them for only $110. I wasn't really sure what I wanted in an upper but I kinda knew the rough cost before going to piece one together.

While at the gun show the manufacturer Scott from HM Defense was there built right here in Ohio. He went on and on about their barrel design like 3x honing vs like Noviski's 2x, manufacturer process vs others etc etc and it all sounded great being way better. They make the barrel, flash hider/muzzle break, BCG, hand guard, upper, everything etc. At the gun show their base uppers were only $599!! I opted for a nickel boron BCG from them and longer 14" hand guard for $670 total with tax. I can't touch this price building one my own with similar components! Their whole guns were in the $1200-1500 range but that was only at the show for today. He said tomorrow they'll go up $100 and online they're more. He prices their stuff fully loaded with billet CNC upper and everything one day to be around $2500. That's Noviski and LWRC prices. I'll have to get it together but so far this thing sounds amazing and I'll support local for going above and beyond!!
