I've taken courses from some recognized Glock experts. Larry Vickers does give it some credence as a combination of grip technique and design factors. Louis Awerbuck just make a rude noise when the subject of limp wristing is brought up. |

Neither, Walter PPQ or HK P30
Just kidding. I have a Gen 3 19. Just FYI, I had 2 Gen 4 17s. Both 17s extracted to my forehead and chest. I don't buy the limp wristing arguement when i can immediately pick up my Gen 3 19 or HK P30 and have it eject at 3-4 o'clock. |

Ok gun experts. So what are good first guns? Something not expensive that I can learn to shoot on at the range and wont recoil in my face
And please provide links or prices. Thanks! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I897 using Tapatalk 2

There are many, many, many excellent handguns out there, most of the good ones between $700 and $1000. Glocks and M&Ps, at ~$500, are a bargain as defensive firearms. Please do not try to teach yourself how to shoot your new firearm, and please do not rely only on the instruction course required for your handgun or concealed-carry permit. Get additional training that focuses on how to use a firearm effectively and how to take care of it. THEN go out to the range and shoot it and practice with it. A lot. As a size reference, M4A1Mustang posted above, what appear to be a Glock 26, Glock 19, Glock 17. Last edited by MacCool; 07-13-2012 at 03:35 PM. |
