having problems with my gun
i shot 800 rounds of FMJ through it with probably < 5 Failure to Eject. yesterday i tried some Federal JHPs and didnt even get through a box of 50. The slide jams up and I cant even rack it as you can see in this pic the slide lock isnt engaged but the slide is stuck' called customer service and they gave me a fedex overnight shipping label for it...and since it's going to be back at springfield i figured i'll do some mods too. -checker front strap -front strap undercut -new target sights with tritium -3 lb trigger pull |

Ack! That's a total bummer. From what I know that is the deal with 1911s...they can be a bit fickle and you have to have some gunsmithing interest and ability to maintain them. Which I don't think is a bad thing at all. That is really the reason I will always recommend a Glock to new or casual gun owners. No doubt there is a 1911 in my future. I am eyeing the Volkmann Precision pistols myself. I am sure that Springfield will get that baby working smoothly.
Let us know how it goes. |

^ yeah don't want to deal with a 1911 right now, although they look and are badass
I'm going for either a CZ75 or a PX4 myself. Can't make up my mind, hopefully the store will have them and I can hold both for a little bit. It's been a while since I held the CZ75 so don't really remember it, but I adore the PX4. Dual action on the PX4 was measured at a 9LB trigger pull |

Alright...I have gone a bit 9mm crazy as of late. After never owning one and picking one up a few months ago I am hooked on they way they shoot (low recoil). I bought the H&K P2000SK and Glock 19 for concealed handgun purposes, but I wanted something with a longer sight length for shooting at the range (I just purchased a membership just recently). So here is the new purchase (it's a H&K P30L 9mm):
On a side note, I was feeling like "the dude that owns more than two cats" by owning four ARs; a little bit of a weirdo. So I decided to sell one of my Bushmasters to finance the purchase of my new H&K. |

Somewhat done modding the Z (for now), so I started a new hobby. A hobby I avoided for a while because of where I used to live (NJ) and that I knew it would be highly addictive.
My first gun, definitely not my last. S&W M&P9C
