The best way to sight the sights in is to start at 50 or 100yd (Id recommend 100yd). 1) Flip your sights up make sure your rear windage sights are centered. 2) Make sure the sights are tightly fastened to the rail (they due tend to come loose over time) 3) Use a Bipod or bench rest and get centered on your target at 100yds. 4) squeeze off a round (note. if you have poor trigger control you will be all over the place and wont be able to get a consistent zero) 5) Ok you now know where your first Point of Impact is. if its low then adjust your front sight one to two clicks lower. If high then raise it the same. 6) Remember you want to basically walk your shots to the bulls eye so little changes will give you a consistent movement across the target and you wont get lost. 7) If the POI is right then you must adjust the rear windage sight to the left to pull your shot back into the target. The rest is up to you. Be safe and have fun with the POF you will enjoy it! I am hitting less than 1.5 MOA out to 700yds with my POF 6.8 16"... Trust me you will love the gun ![]() ![]()

I will give a try. Just need to find a area in Sactown, CA to shoot that far. I'm looking to get a MI iron sight then eventually a scope. They are so expensive. I may just a cheap one.

Yes, they are expensive. I can't disagree with you there. If you do decide to go that route, I recommend taking a look at laruetactical.com -- they have lots of optic/mount combos.

Are you putting optics on it? If yes, it should be self-explanatory. If no, good luck.

![]() Regardless of whether you mount optics or not, you need to sight in your iron sights as well (as backup for the optics if nothing else, esp for electronic sights, but even for regular ones - glass breaks). I highly recommend the IBSZ (Improved Battle-Sight Zero) method from here: AR-15 Zeroing , although there are a few different methods you can pick from. |

Interesting. It seems most of the blogs that i looked through was from gun friendly states. I see a lot of florida. What is up with florida? I hear a lot of interesting crimes that happens down there. Probably too much radiation.

Hey Semtex I applaud you for your knowledge in firearms.
Would you be able to help me find any info on my SKS? Its a Norinco. I've found similar ones on gunbroker, but never the exact model. |

Well just anything and everything.
I know it fires a 7.62, I know its a blast to take out, and thats about it. I have been told, that its a hard to find model, and I had it completely disassembled and cleaned a couple of times, before I knew how to do it myself, and every time I get offers from people to purchase it. I know its not a big deal having an SKS, but I want to know why people might be so interested in it. |

I'm no expert on SKS rifles, but I believe your Norinco has several things going for it. First, it's reputed to be one of the best quality SKS's. Secondly, they ceased being imported as a result of the assault weapons ban. And that dovetails into the third thing, which is that it's a sought-after collectible due to its rarity. It's the same situation as the HK 94, for example. Those things will fetch $4-5k easily, if you can find them.
Edit: Btw, it is a big deal to have one of these because of their rarity, which is why you keep getting offers. I'd hang onto it if I were you. I have a friend whose father in law has a small stash of these in his safe for future trading.
