Lol, if you notice, one of them has a gym. its like, what the hell are you hiding your gym for?

A bookcase hidden door would be pretty cool over the master bedroom door, maybe then I wouldn't as concerned about home invasion. Almost like a panic room that you sleep in :D

Reminds me of the Winchester house, Wayne manor. Though those are cool because they're modern day and well lit, these kinds of things sort of spook me out. It makes me think that people who do these things got something to hide.

The house I grew up in kind of had this. It was an old duplex built in the 30s, and the lower flat had a closet underneath the stairs that was masked by... another closet, lol. Turns out that protrusion we thought was for structural purposes was actually the access to the hidden closet, and we didn't find out until we tore down the front closet and stairway for renovations. There was nothing in the hidden closet, but it had a railing for coat hangers, and eerily enough, a standing mirror. This probably also explains the light switch next to the closet door that did nothing.

I'd hide my gym so no one could give me crap about not working out. Can't work out in a gym that "doesn't exist."

Lol this just made me imagine some old guy with a long beard that freaks out when he sees you. "Oh my god i have been here for months, i locked myself in and forgot where the door was. I survived by eating the carpet."

ON TOPIC: It would be so awesome to have secret rooms. Or one could do like a floor between the floors of a house with that stairwell that lifts.
