Best wishes bro. As many have said, the most important thing is to be strong and stay as positive as you can at a time like this. Laugh, enjoy, have fun, continue being yourselves - this will make all the difference. :)

praying for her!

I will hope and pray that everything works out for you and your family. Life is hard, especially in times like this, but it is always good to have friends you can count on. People you can talk to and turn to for support. I never really thought about it, but this group of guys and girls on this site are a good bunch. You may never meet 99% of them, but you have their support.

My first impulse was to go into doctor mode, but this isn't the time or place. My best wishes for good luck. Time to be as tough and realistic as possible. Hard at such a young age.

I know this diagnosis well. My gal started getting mammograms at age 40. Had she waited until 50* it would have spread more. The doctor removed the cancer surgically and then went through weeks of radiation. We celebrated June 18th as 7 years breast cancer free. I wish you and your mom the same result.

God bless you both and I'll remember her tonight in my prayers.

Thank you for all the prayers and support guys. The aftermath with all her tests resulted in finding that she had cancer in one breast, and it spread to her other breast within a week. The doctors said that she needed to have surgery to remove both before it could potentially spread more. The surgery was on thursday and she should be coming back home today. She still has to do kemo and or radiation sessions. We went to go see her yesterday at the hospital and she was already wide awake, she was walking, eating tons of food, and was able to lift her arms fairly well.

Best wishes to you and your mom.

My Mother in law went through this process at the age of 40 it was tough for all of us. As someone else mentioned stay strong and realistic about things some very hard decisions will need to be made.

My wife actually works for the doctors that took care of her mom so shes has to see this every day. It is sad how much younger the ages of the girls are that are going through this. When school, boys, and work should be their only problems they get hit with something like this.

If you would like to PM me your address I can have my Mother in law send you a couple pillows she now makes for women going through this. They tuck under the arms after surgery and help with the pain.
