Sorry to go a tad bit off topic but coming into work tonight, I was driving my S2000 and I hit a turtle crossing the road, I was going about 40mph, and I saw it at the last second, I couldnt stop..I ran over it, but luckily the cars tires didnt go over it, literally, and Im hoping it quickly went into its shell,it sounded like something from under the car hit the shell, maybe the exhaust.

It didnt mess up the car, but I did feel like sh1t for having it happen.

Ouch. I think I was there at Hyperfest when it happened, but didn't hear about it till afterwards.

And here is the Aussie version. Jimmy Richards takes out a Kangaroo at 140mph at Mount Panorama race circuit near Bathurst in New South Wales

Haha, me too, and I knew it was coming. It reminded me of that old-school youtube vid where the dad would have his son stare at the computer screen for a while then AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! A monster pops up on the screen.

Corona370z 06-27-2012 03:10 AM

Let's hope he has a hunting license, otherwise it's poaching!

I'm surprised the deer just didn't enter his cabin; it was just big enough...

ChrisSlicks 06-27-2012 08:23 AM

In a stock Z you're normally doing about 130mph at that point, in a Corvette 140mph at the entrance to the braking zone for turn 1. He had backed off a little bit either because of traffic or possibly a local yellow flag waving at start/finish. There is a fence at that part of the infield, but the deer jumped it, obviously the fence isn't tall enough.

didymus 06-27-2012 12:51 PM

That guy's both really unlucky and very lucky at the same time

whoady4shoady 08-06-2012 01:41 PM

Im sure the deer walked away with only minor injuries.
