1. Can't fault you for trying to help the Army
2. In the Army that does matter, but even still, if you do your job, promotions will come??
3. That's why we like you.
4. True story. Harder to find than a "supervisor" :( but can you go outside your field to find one perhaps?

I'm a junior MAJ right now. LTC is all but a lock. I've completed my qualifying job, I'm in school right now. I just need to survive the next 3 or 4 years with out stepping on my d!ck and I should make it.

Do you plan to go for O-6 or be happy with O-5? Either way, retirement is not a bad paycheck..

Enlisted in one service to officer in another will not hurt, but I served 7 yrs as an officer in the AF then went to the Army. I lost out on a lot of career aiding ops and networking. It's not like I started over as a 2LT

Damn. Well I still say as long as you do your job better than the rest, and don't have a sleeping disorder, they will have to promote you.

Lemers 01-02-2013 11:35 AM

My timing works well. If I'm a LTC at twenty then I have about 1 yr until the promotion board for O6. I will take a look and retire if I don't make it. If I do make it then I'll be in until 25 yrs.

:bowrofl::bowrofl::bowrofl: I think I know what you mean. I know a Maj in a position close to yours, only he isn't blue to green... he is enlisted to comissioned.

oh, that makes a lot of sense. damn, well, hopefully you can get that bird  if you want it.

Lemers 01-02-2013 11:38 AM

I don't want to be that LTC hanging out cause I'm afraid of civilian life. I can get a top civilian HR job based on my military career. And 2 paychecks will make me as much or more than O6

 that's awesome man..

I am trying to make tech one more time, if I don't it will only hasten my package to NECP for the comissioned nursing program...
