Geez....buying wine online is horrible if you live in Texas.
We have some of the worst laws on shipping wine so none of the online dealers want to ship here.

staying ontopic of being useless, any smart posts just makes it seem like a learning curve attempt thus DUN DUN DUN

They limit the movement of wine into the state, but anything else is fine. :shakes head:
OG status ran out last month, I do not use Paypal ever and AK is not around much so until he comes back full time I am holding off.

What about once it's already inside the state, or do they not carry what you're looking for anywhere locally? What is their beef with Wine vs other spirits?

Ah, fair enough.

Ah, fair enough.

Not sure on the crazy law. Up until 2009 you could only bring wine in from outside the state if you were a store or dealer. I am looking for a specific year and winery.

Wait, so if I were to take a trip somewhere, buy some, then head back in state... they would confiscate it?! :ugh:

That whole thing with the liquor stores closing at 9 PM sucks, too.

No that is fine.
Doing more reading but here is what it looks like:
-2009 they opened up shipment to consumers directly (This is good)
-2010/1 they require shippers to have a permit to ship into Texas (Texas would not issue any permit...:wtf:)
-2012 Some permits are getting through but they are limiting/controlling who can get one

Basically people are restricted to buying locally now and only what grocery, liquor, etc. stores decide to buy.

No, it's Texas, not WWII-era Germany. :ugh2:

They will shoot you if they catch you with it, though.

Damn. :(

So this is a State run policy, or a federal policy being enforced on Texas?

It can but honestly it has rarely ever bothered me.
Usually if I am drinking at 9PM I am home with a glass of wine or out somewhere.
