Mercedes setting off the V1?
 

More and more I drive past Mercs, especially the SUV's and I'm getting the K band going off on my V1. Anyone else notice this? How annoying.

I've been hearing about this a lot... The new mercedes set off peoples K bands because of all the fancy blind spot monitoring.. etc...

Audi is the same, the lane change assist uses k band which gets extremely annoying.
Infiniti uses laser for its auto cruise control function.

That would explain the damn laser ALWAYS going off too. FUUUUUUUUUk!

Yep, and it is going to get worse from what I have been reading.
More companies are adding lane assist or side warning systems which are going to use K band.

Hmm, my Fusion has that. I wonder what it uses

This is how I run mine and I receive VERY FEW annoyances unless I am in a shopping-center.

I'm thinking about disabling the X band and laser. X band is for doors at the supermarket and by the time you get tagged with laser, it's too late anyway.

Yea Mercedes and audis have been setting off my escort 9500ci... I just acknowledge and mute... Better safe than sorry...
