Has anyone ever met him? You can't deny his impact on the hobby, and I suppose I will leave it at that.

Oh my goodness! He was quite a fine man, an excellent driver, and it's amazing what he accomplished AFTER being told he was going to die within 5 years--back around 1960! He fooled that doctor and a lot more people along the way. I've eaten his chili--not bad, but not hot enough...

but at least he made it to 89, so he did live a full life.

Yeap!!!!!!!!!! He passed away on Thursday at 89 year old. He is a legend for sure & will always be remember.
