Slammed Navigator - A mobile navigation app for lowered / slammed cars I'm building!
Hey guys, well some background information first. I have a z33, I was recommended to post this here by some buddies on stanceworks. I'm a software engineer by trade, and in my spare time I like to build things. So recently I figured, why not build a mobile app for lowered / slammed cars that allows them to get live directions just like any other navigation software, but also display potholes in the roads they're on, uneven sections of roads, speed bumps, alternate "low friendly" routes, and more.
Road conditions will be user submitted, as there is no database or anything even remotely usable that I can access to determine road conditions out of the box with the app. So that will be something built up over time and average out for accuracy. You guys can check out the pre-launch page for the app here: Hellaflush Don't Go There! A Navigation App For Slammed Cars! Note: The app name will be slammed navigator when it's released, I just haven't gotten to updating the website with the name change since I decided on changing it. Let me know what you think! Feel free to post any suggestions, feedback, etc! |

The app would work great for malls/parking lots/coffee shops, etc. but I dont think it will do much good for the roads. Road conditions can change a lot just over a couple of months, and tbh, anything other than steep ramps/speed bumps wont help. My Z is slammed to the limit and I just have to exercise extra caution on the roads, and oftentimes I find myself circling parking lots looking for a low-friendly entry point.
Basically, I'd say - don't worry much about the streets, parking lots are much more of a headache, and don't forget to include Canada. |
