Gulf seafood deformities alarm scientists - Features - Al Jazeera English

Along with collapsing fisheries, signs of malignant impact on the regional ecosystem are ominous: horribly mutated shrimp, fish with oozing sores, underdeveloped blue crabs lacking claws, eyeless crabs and shrimp - and interviewees' fingers point towards BP's oil pollution disaster as being the cause.

Guess I'll be lowering my shrimp intake...

I imagine we (as Louisianians) will be feeling the impacts of the spill for years. So much of our local economy is dependent on the water-- at least shipping is back up & running, but reports of mutant seafood are bad news.

It is really sad what happens to animals when we have these " accidents" . If people would actually do time for these instead of buying their way out it would happen less .. What a shame !!

Really? I don't doubt the seafood is probably contaminated for years to come but the news source is a freaking joke. Back in OIF those dicheads just so happen to be filming near every IED strike.
