Well I never raced in a competitive sense, I just did a lot of different track days and classes. The R6 was my 7th bike and I had never had an accident. As I got older I started to feel like my clock was ticking and it was a matter of time before some cager killed me or a deer jumped in front of me on my drive home. I also got married and my wife works as a speech/language therapist and had quite a few patients who were riding motorcycles and had terrible accidents. She never asked me or insiuated that I sell the bike, but I just felt it was the right time to do something else. That is how I regularly end up with expensive 300+ hp cars! |

I've been racing my bike for only 1 year before I gave it up and sold it. as mentioned above, Got married, have a kid on the way, dont want to risk anything. I know for some people it may be stupid, but I have other hobbies that I can keep me busy with so im good with it.
That picture i posted has terrible body positioning. It was one of the first few track days I practiced in. My head is on the wrong half of the bike for that turn. |

Just a heads up for anyone who is interested. We recently received a few HyperRev books for the Yamaha RX, Kawasaki ZX-XR, Ducati 1098/99X/74X, and Suzuki GSX-R. If anything these books make great reading material. We also have the ability to acquire any and all parts in these 150+ paged books. Please PM if interested. -Hunter |
