Anyone ever ship their car?
Are the enclosed carriers worth the extra $400+ opposed to open carriers? I'm thinking the car wouldn't really be exposed too much to flying debris since it's secured behind a semi...

A few years ago I shipped my 350Z from WI to CA on an open carrier and had no problems. Try and ask for it as far forward to the cab as possible to avoid road debris.
