My first gen iPad is still hanging strong and does everything I need it for. Just not a huge enough of a leap for me to trade in for the new one. The retna display is nice and I love it on my iPhone, but it's not a big enough difference to justify the price tag for a new one.

dont forget yall. it aint called ipad3. its not official what they gonna call it but most likely the same ipad 2 but 2nd gen like the ipods. this new release was very disappointing. everyone expected something great, but at the end, no big changes. if u have an ipad 2 and dont use 3g service, might as well just keep it. im not gonna get rid of my ipad2, just gonna wait for something thats worth it.

I would buy one, but I'd rather save that money for my soon-to-be Z (hopefully) ._.

Not even considering it, But I am enjoying my Transformer Prime! looks like apple is still behind in overall specs to the TP in almost every category.

Man after reading all these responses I think I must have Apple goggles on or I'm just a tech nut. I was blown away by the display's technology; 2048x1536 resolution, 4 times as many pixels than iPad2, and quad core GPU which if you're a gamer means less lag. But that's just me.
