I would like to see the other side of the car. "If they didn't have cinder blocks to place under the brake rotors , or wooden blocks". Then there should be body damage to the bottom of the wheel wells and damage below the door(I don't know what that section is called-from the back of the front wheel well, to the front of the rear wheel, that strip that runs right below the door).

If I was going to steal my own rims I would at least put the car on blocks.

Evidently it was done as part of a run where they robbed multiple cars and used the collective tools to get the job done. His car was the last one it seems, and they left three different jacks and tool sets with the car.

I've just spent the past hour on that forum reading about the ridiculous markups people are paying for that Camaro. People have been waiting 3 years for that car. If they could just wait one more they could buy one for 4-5K below sticker. There are going to be a ton of people taking baths on these cars when they go to get rid of them.
What I don't understand is why doesn't GM retool another plant to get these things pumped out? Didn't they just take 60 billion of our dollars? It seems they have a winner here and it's not a hybrid and you don't have to plug it in. Of course if they sold too many of them they probably wouldn't meet the current CAFE standards.

I know that, but it appears that GM has actually managed to build a car that they could easily sell everyone that rolled off the line. They may want to consider slowing down production of all of their boring cars, which is a majority of them, and build a boatload of Camaros. The Government may also want to take a look at the Camaro and see that it is the type of car that Americans want to buy. A good looking car that stirs the soul and isn't neccessarily fuel efficient. I think GM even manages to turn a profit on the Camaro. Unlike the highly touted Volt, that they will take a loss on every unit for the first couple years

^all of their boring cars, which is a majority of them--lmao! Chrysler is the same, boring and ugly. I've seen Buicks that are good looking compared to Chrysler, that's sad.

I actually did like the Charger when they first came out, and even the Challenger isn't too bad, that is until you sit inside of them and look at the interior. It's like they just stacked a bunch of plastic boxes on top of one another. The only thing round in a Chrysler interior is the steering wheel.

without the wheels it looks more like the boat it ended up as. no thanks GM. I don't want a boat to drive around the streets and don't want a 1969 design in 2009. I have a hard time believing people actually want this thing, but over on that site the are paying huge markups. ugghh.
on the plus side, in its current condition its doubtful the front end cracks.

most likely some parts will be bent under there....lol
if this is shenanigans, than they were stupid not to use bricks. but if it's real, don't laugh because the Z's rims can be stolen too.....and most likely they will be...there are numerous threads about the g37 wheels being stolen. the burglar only needs the key lock and all the G35, G37, 350z & 370z's wheels can be taken easily. one thief lined up all the lugs and the lock lugs on the person's door way and left half the car on bricks..... |
