have you ever got back to your car and noticed something different
At work I saw a tow truck pull in front of a parked truck, lower the flatbed, squeeze a metal wire between the door and the frame, open the door, looked in the back of the truck, looked confused, locked the door, and left. obviously he had the wrong truck but wtf?

Looked in the back as in the back seat, or the bed?
He may not have had the wrong truck. Maybe he saw something that made him not want to take it. Maybe he was a thief. Who knows.

He looked in the bed. The truck wouldn't be worth stealing in my opinion. I believe the guy actually drives a pretty nice z, which he never drives to work, now I understand why. I understand mistakes happen but I would be pissed if someone jammed a metal rod between the glass.

That's unacceptable... Regardless of if it was a towing company or not...

Doesn't seem like that was the case in this situation. OP, have you let the owner know you saw something? I would.

Definitely didn't take that into consideration... But a repo company would take it regardless I would assume... With 100% good reason as well
