ok so lets leave the other thread alone so they can discuss daytime running lights and things that are much more pertinent to keeping any car ahead of the pack. Here we can discuss irrelevant things like horsepower. Also could any of you be so kind as to give me a lesson how to drive manual mode? i know its pretty tough but i think if i set my mind to it i'll be able to get it down after a while. i know the hardest part is letting off the brake to start moving.

First of all, your Z is less reliable already because it has a third pedal. Yep, no doubt about it!

So is this where I can call Nissan a bunch of idiots for not given the car a HP bump? Even if it was false, honestly they could have just put a new number there and you throw it on a dyno and it is the same. Just BS the customer so it looks better.

dude gtfo with your hp bump. Why would you want to be able to tell someone with a hyundai that your car makes more power when you could tell them that its 200lbs lighter and that it pulled .1G better on the skidpad and stopped from 60 in 5feet less! :happydance:

I think the z has made great progress relative to the competition.

The stepped up on every front of the car since 1991--dropped all wheel steering, linear, NA power, etc etc.

Look at their biggest competitor. In 1991, it came with an ugly body, a solid rear axle, and a 5.0. They're still trying to sell that same **** today

Hmmm did anyone wonder why every technical thread turns into an off topic thread? maybe its because we like giving our opinions and discussing things. if we wanted to read a fact sheet we could go on nissans website or look at wikipedia. why would we want to do that when we could argue with people on the internet?

Lets just keep this civil.... argue all you want but lets leave out name calling and anything that actually warrants a thread being closed. IMO a few people vehemently disagreeing with eachother really shouldn't require a thread to be shut down and deleted.

Ontopic.........I like what they did to the front bumper. I loved that about the 350Z. Looks like it has a wider opening and DRL(s)/LED(s) up front. Too bad the NISMO won't get any of that love...........

That's because the Nissan 370Z is the greatest automobile ever made. But the 2013 one is even greatester.

and if there is something less expensive that does outperform it in some way, that's just bench racing. If there is something more expensive that outperforms it than its quite obvious that it doesn't matter because the 370z is a better value :tup:

ah, i see, so unless i compete with my car against someone elses in the same exact event, i'm not allowed to make any comparisons whatsoever? so with your logic, until you fill up your prius and i fill up my 335 and then we go drive 50 miles around town, one can not actually make the assumption that the prius would, in fact, get better gas mileage.

Furthermore, it could not be assumed that a marine, fresh out of service would run a faster mile time than a morbidly obese couch potato who has spent the last 7 years eating twinkies and watching TV, unless they actually race eachother in a mile. Until fatass gets off his *** and runs a mile, no conclusions can be drawn, because that would be benchracing.

I sure would feel a lot better about making definite statements after driving it, especially if the gap is tiny. My Prius is rated for 51/49, yet I don't get close to that. Would I have known if I didn't drive it? As they say on TV, there is a reason why they play the games.
