Espresso machine modding
Yup. My wife loves espresso. It's not a Z but it just shows you can mod anything.

Thanks for sharing! It's awesome! When I saw the PID controller I was like :icon14: . I work with PID in an industrial setting... never thought someone would use it for brewing coffee... lol :tup:

Taste is purely subjective but it did make a less bitter espresso using the same beans and grind. Temperature stability is very key when it comes to making espresso. The really high end machines use a PID in one way or another. The PID keeps the temperatures pretty solid compared to the high/low click/clack relays. Everything I did was around $250. |
